It can not compel any citizen to buy a health insurance scheme from a private company. This would also violate the personal freedom of an individual. The president or any person can not decide how a man should live and how he should get treated for his ailments. Every man has a right to decide whether he needs health insurance or not. If a person decides he does not need health insurance the federal government has no authority to compel him to buy health insurance. If a person is required by law to buy auto insurance it is to protect the interests of other people who could be injured by his driving. He must be able to reimburse the damage caused to others through his insurance company. But just because a man lives in this country without health insurance the president can not view him as an audacious person.
