Insurance.com has released the rate watch report which is based upon the rates quoted by various insurers. The residents of the state of Nebraska have received the largest cut in auto insurance rates. The annual rate paid on auto insurance has fallen by 13% and the average annual rate for a vehicle is only $1364. The average national rate meanwhile fell by 3.5 percent and the average national rate for auto insurance is still $1803. in a few states the rates actually went up. In Colorado the rates were increased by 4.5 percent to $1545. The rates on auto insurance come down on account of two reasons. The competition is intense among the insurance companies and so they have reduced the rates. In some states the accident rates have come down and so the rates had to be reduced correspondingly. In states where the costs increased phenomenally for the insurance companies the rates had to be raised. In some states there have been too many minor injuries claims and so to compensate for this loss the insurance companies have increased the auto insurance rates. The customer has a better service from all auto insurance companies now and he could get the free insurance quotes before selecting an auto insurance policy.
