President Obama’s health care bill is to be introduced into the senate and the house for voting. Then it will be declared as a law by the president. But certain questions are raised now upon the constitutional validity of the bill. There are doubts that the bill might be legally invalid. According to the provisions of the bill that is yet to pass the senate, all the citizens of the U.S. must buy health insurance. If a particular citizen fails to buy health insurance he would face penal action from the government. He would have to pay a hefty amount as fine or may even face imprisonment. According to the U.S. constitution the government is authorized to receive taxes from people, borrow funds for welfare schemes, regulate business and commerce and declare war on an enemy state. The federal government does not have the legal authority to compel or force any citizen to buy a health insurance scheme compulsorily from a private health insurance company. A citizen must be allowed to choose by his own free will whether he should buy a health insurance scheme for him or not. The health care bill of the president is likely to face fire pretty soon.
